so long, farewell

i'm sad to announce that the toki cafe shop is closing. it's been fun but i do believe that it's time to move on. maybe someday i'll be back with exciting new things to share but for now it's goodbye. the shop will remain open through mid-september or until everything is sold, whichever comes first. to help clear out the shop, i'm offering a "goodbye for now" discount to everyone! enter the coupon code "BYE4NOW" during checkout to receive 25% off your entire purchase before shipping. this is my first time using etsy's fancy new coupon code feature so i hope i did it right! there are only a few items in there so snatch them up while you can!

hiatus

i've decided to take a little break from the toki cafe etsy shop.  i just haven't had time to maintain it and stock it with new items so i'll close the shop for a bit while i develop and play with new ideas.  plus summer is just about here and there are many weddings, graduations, and fun days ahead!  i'll still be answering any convos and i would be happy to take on special orders depending on what my availability looks like.  just send me a message and i'll get back to you!

kappa pattern in shop!

kappa pattern is now up for sale in the shop!  i have been wanting to make some of my patterns available for sale for awhile now but the thought of making my scribbles into patterns that other people could actually read was just too daunting.  thankfully, i finally got my act together and here he is!  he's fairly easy to make if you're familiar with basic crochet techniques and working in rounds.  give it a try  :)

100th sale

the toki cafe has reach 100 sales!  whew.  i was at 99 for what seemed like forever just waiting for the big 1-0-0.  hooray!  i'm so thankful for the support and encouragement that i've received to keep my little shop running.  i know i'm a terrible shopkeeper (i disappear for weeks, i stock the shop just whenever i feel like it, etc.) but i'll try to be better!  thanks again everyone  :)

vacation

the toki cafe will be on vacation starting december 24-mid-january. the shop will be in vacation mode but feel free to convo me as i will be keeping tabs on my esty during this time. thank you and have a wonderful holiday!

holiday shipping

i'm terrified that christmas is right around the corner. life is moving way to fast for me! you know what else terrifies me? holiday shipping. i hate the thought of packages not making it to happy gift receiving (and giving!) hands on time. there are several packages in my life that i have stalked praying that it will get to me in time (my sister's aisle runner for her wedding, my laptop, my harry potter tie for the premier, etc.) so here is a little guide to holiday shipping times courtesy of the united states postal office! mail-by dates: dec 4. military mail destined for iraq or afghanistan dec 16. parcel post (the normal shipping option for the toki cafe) dec 21. first class & priority dec 23. express mail i can always ship orders priority or express if needed. just contact me ahead of time so that i can calculate the shipping. i generally ship orders within two business days of purchase but i try my best for one day during the holidays. and your best bet is to play it safe and ship everything as soon as possible. you don't want to spend the week leading up to christmas stalking your mail man! if your order is being send as a gift directly to the recipient, i won't include a packing slip and i can put in a personalized note. just include a "message to seller" when you're checking out. happy shopping!

new in the shop!

i finally have some new stuff up in the shop! i've been crocheting furiously to get these ready. the fruit stand set includes a pear, lemon, orange and apple. the farm stand set has an egg, tomato, potato, and carrot. and they come with the berry basket shown in the photo! i really love crocheting food. come visit the shop and take a peek :)

restock

i've finally found some time to add a few more friends in the shop. it's been sadly neglected these past few months but it's slowly filling up again. say hello to blue herman :)

i wish i could crochet faster. there are so many things that i want to make but it's hard to find time. sorry, i'll stop whining. i wish i lived in harry potter's world because i'm pretty sure i'd be able to figure out a way to keep my hooks working while i slept and cleaned. did i just say that?

new in the shop

i've been meaning to put this up since january so i'm very excited to introduce you to... tiny dumpling in a tiny steamer! okay so it's nothing that new. but! i found these tiny steamers in taiwan and had to grab a couple because they were perfect for tiny dumplings. tiny dumpling is less than 3.5" long. he even comes with his tiny steamer home and a tiny leaf just like the dumplings you eat at dim sum. can you imagine if you were eating at your fav dim sum place and opening up a steamer only to find tiny dumpling?? that would be the best day ever. he'll be up in the shop this afternoon :)

shipping updates

shipping updates! with the post office raising their rates and the cost of shipping materials going up, i've decided to no longer include delivery confirmation with every order. of course you're always welcome to add it on to your order. i've been avoiding this for awhile but i sat down with calculators, receipts, and the usps website and i banged my head on my keyboard a few times and this is what i came up with. i try really hard to keep the costs of cuteness down because, well everyone needs a little cute, and even more so these days when times are a bit rough. so i will continue to do my best and keep serving up little morsels of cuteness :) thanks for your support!
